I love how easy it is to use Kraft dressings to dress up a meal. The new Kraft Pourables have been reinvented with a new, better taste! Not only that, but Kraft Zesty Italian (used in this recipe) has even more herbs and spices now. And the Classic ranch is creamier, with more buttermilk and savory herbs, which makes it perfect for dipping carrot sticks into while I’m making dinner.
Slow Cooker Zesty Potatoes and Sausage is seriously SO insanely easy to throw together. When I create new recipes, I love working with just a few ingredients, and Kraft Zesty Italian now has even more herbs & spices! Which means, no need to add a ton of spices. Recipes that don’t take a lot of thought and preparation come together quickly, which means cooking in a crunch is doable. We are often in a rush in the morning, and I don’t have a lot of time to get a meal ready to go in the slow cooker. This recipe can be prepared the night before, with ingredients cut up and refrigerated overnight so there is less to do in the morning.
If you’ve like cooking out of the pantry, this is a recipe to add to your list. You probably have all of the ingredients you need on hand, especially if you stock up on meat when it is on sale. I stock up on kielbasa sausage when its on sale, nearly always have potatoes in my pantry, and salad dressing is something that is always in my refrigerator. Add some salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh herbs, and you’ve got an easy comfort food dinner without the expense of eating out.
- 1½ pounds sliced russet potatoes, peeling optional
- 2 kielbasa sausage links, sliced in ½ inch pieces
- 1½ cups Kraft Zesty Italian dressing
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley or other herb to garnish
- Combine all ingredients (except herbs) in slow cooker. Cook for 4-6 hours on low or until potatoes are tender.
