We are a busy family, and lately we’ve been even busier because our son is in candidate training to get his Second Degree Black Belt. What an accomplishment, right? And, what a reason to celebrate. He still has a few weeks to go, but I am planning to have a fun Kickin’ party in celebration of his big martial arts milestone when he graduates. Which means I’m looking for easy party food and grilling ideas.
I also like to taste test as part of my party planning, which is why I grilled up some Tyson Grillin’ Wings this weekend. I served them up with some Spicy Yogurt Dipping Sauce (see the recipe below) that had just the right kick. My dipping sauce would also go perfectly with celery, but I chose to kick things up a notch and served green onions alongside our wings. Talk about a kick.
My party planning shopping trip took me to Sam’s Club, where I found an extraordinary selection to answer that #whatsgrillin question. I also found a huge container of Kraft Country Time Lemonade, which will probably last about two weeks in my house because we love to drink lemonade!
When food looks and smells so good on the grill and cooks up in no time flat, I know I’ve found a winner. That’s one of the amazing things about Tyson Grillin’ Wings. They are pre-cooked, so you don’t have to wait very long for your wings to be done once you throw them on the grill. At the same time, you still get that right off the grill flavor. And you really can’t beat that.
I’ll be keeping Tyson Grillin’ Wings on hand this summer for all those last minute easy to make dinners or a get-together with friends. What better way to share time with friends than with food that is SO good and SO easy to make, yet seems like you really spent a lot of time preparing it? For that matter, these wings would make a fast and easy chicken snack pretty much any time. These wings have time-saver written ALL over them. And I’m loving it!
So, I mentioned that my son is going to be getting his Second Degree Black Belt… which is an AMAZING accomplishment. He has been active in the martial arts for half of his life. Crazy to imagine. Right now, besides being in training for his next belt, he is also practicing for an upcoming tournament. We took this fun video in slo mo to show off his moves:
Now that I’ve got my meat selection figured out for our party (and drink choice as well), I’m going to have to figure out what dessert to make. I’m thinking I will probably make my Banana Cream Dessert or S’mores Icebox Cake.Print
