I absolutely love summer smoothies, and for healthy lunches, I can’t go wrong with these.
Don’t get me wrong, I drink healthy fruits smoothies all year long, but in the winter, they make me cold, and leave me standing in front of the fireplace after drinking them. In the summer, everyone is trying to lose weight, or stay in shape, so I thought you might like some summer smoothie recipes that are under 300 calories, so you can keep your shape, while enjoying a sweet treat.

These smoothies are some of my favorites from around the web. You can always tweak these healthy drinks to your liking, and you could even cut the calories to fall below 300. I think 300 is a good number if you are eating six meals a day, and especially if you have a hard time getting your fruit servings each day.
Homemade smoothies are quick and easy to make, and usually don’t require many ingredients, which also makes them an affordable snacking option. While you’re making smoothies, don’t forget about the kiddos. Even green smoothie recipes for kids. Now we’re talking, right? Smoothies are a great way for them to get their fruits, veggies, and dairy (if you decide to go that route). Don’t forget, you can always substituent coconut and almond milk in any smoothie that calls for milk, and plain Greek yogurt for regular yogurt because it has less sugar in it.
