I almost always have a nice bottle of Moscato on hand, because it is the perfect sweet wine to have with just about any family meal, or to share with friends. This summer, I’m really enjoying the refreshing taste of Middle Sister Wines’ Sweet and Sassy California Moscato paired up with all the amazing food I’ve been grilling up. Grilled Asparagus because it TASTES GREAT!
How fun is it that the Middle Sister Wines brand was inspired and based on a series of quirky “middle sister” characters who each claim their own varietal and personality? The various sisters are both engaging and entertaining, just like the portfolio of wines in the Middle Sister Wines brand. Crafted by award-winning winemaker Nancy Walker (a middle sister herself), the portfolio includes a wide variety of delicious red, white and sparkling wines from California and Argentina.
You can purchase Middle Sister Wines at local retailers, or even purchase them online.

Did you know that birth order is commonly believed to have a profound and lasting effect on psychological development? And that is why Middle Sister Wines have dedicated a wine to the sister in the middle – the one who always seems to have a personality of her own, and steals the show. Not everyone has a wine named especially just for her…some people are just born lucky! Enjoy these sassy wines with your favorite family meals
Middle Sister also just received a brand makeover and now features “Drops of Wisdom” which are a dose of inspiration right on the front label. Check out the fabulous new look!
Yeah, and I totally did NOT plan to match my nail polish to the bottle–it just happened. Kismet. And who doesn’t enjoy long, romantic walks to the wine fridge? This bottle is speaking my language!
Kind of like this pan of grilled asparagus and mushrooms. We’ve been enjoying a ton of grilled vegetables this summer, and asparagus is one of my favorites. I don’t buy it very often, which makes it even tastier when we do indulge in this gorgeous, green veggie. The mushrooms add an earthy flavor that can’t be denied. And the seasoning? You know I like to keep things simple, so I tossed the vegetables with a little bit of olive oil and added some pepper, garlic salt and a dash of sea salt. Pure and simple.
And yes, guilty as charged, I happen to think that grilled vegetables like asparagus and mushrooms taste even better when paired with a glass of sweet & sassy California Moscato. Its a great way to linger over a healthy meal, slow down, savor and enjoy all the flavors that we might otherwise take for granted. Life is too short to speed through.
