1 5oz.Banana pudding mixthe cook and serve kind, not the instant pudding kind
1largeegg
½cupmilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F, line a 9x9 baking sheet with parchment
Prepare the brownie layer by whisking together the sugar and butter, then mixing in the eggs and vanilla.
Whisk until smooth.
Add the flour, cocoa powder and salt to the egg mixture.
Mix until smooth (batter will be very thick).
Spread the brownie layer evenly into the prepared pan, making sure it's evenly spread along the bottom.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and pudding mix until smooth.
Add the egg and milk and beat again until completely combined.
Pour the pudding mixture over the brownie layer, then bake in preheated oven 25-30 minutes, or until the pudding layer is completely solid (it will not jiggle when you shake the pan)
Allow to cool completely before removing from the pan.
When cool, slice into squares.
Notes
Measure the flour carefully, spoon into measuring cup then level off
The brownie batter is very thick and sticky, these brownies are super fudgy, you can use greased fingers to push it evenly into the pan
The pudding mixture will be very thin, but will thicken up as it cooks
The banana flavor is not overpowered by the cheese, it definitely tastes more banana than cheesecake
