Preheat the oven to 350 F.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Pour in the butter and mix with a sturdy spoon until the mixture is fully coated with butter.
Pour the apple pie filling into a 9x9 or similar small baking dish.
Top with the prepared topping.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbly.
Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
