There are two things in the kitchen we just can't get enough of when entertaining friends: wine and appetizers. Having a good Chardonnay on hand is like finding a liquid goldmine...it's smooth sailing and easy breezy sipping.
Notable is the 1st and only wine that highlights the flavor profiles on the front of the bottle, helping make the wine aisle a less confusing place. Because, if you've ever browsed the wine aisle (or aisles as the store might go), you know that it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming to find the right varietal...especially if you are a wine newbie or novice like so many of us. Now...I've been around the block a time or two trying my favorite wines, but when it comes to knowing what wine to try next...what wine I haven't sipped that I really should take a taste of...that's a little bit harder to figure out.
Since wines vary in style, region, and taste, it's fun to find a label that actually helps identify the delightful flavor inside the bottle. And I have to say, I'm all about finding that wine that elegantly showcases its taste right smack dab on the front label. It makes it so much easier for me to find the wine I want. Follow the flavor notes, and you'll find the perfect wine for you too!
We've got two things for you today: how to set up a wine tasting with Notable Australia and Notable California and a delicious recipe for our Cilantro Cheese Ball. Let's face it. When having a wine tasting with friends, it is always a good idea to have a few snacks on hand for before or after the main 'wine tasting' event.
We like to keep things simple with a few simple appetizers that can be thrown together in no time at all, yet come off looking elegant and like it took a little bit of time to prepare for the guests. What they don't know...right? Our Cilantro Cheese Ball literally takes 5 minutes to make. It's that easy.
How to Have a Simply Fun Wine-Tasting with Friends
For a simple and friendly wine-tasting, it's important to keep things lite and airy. While tasting cards are certainly an idea, a more fun way to enjoy a wine-tasting with friends is to simply sit back, sample and discuss the flavors with your group.
Here are a few things to keep in mind and share with your circle:
- Notable: California Chardonnay has hints of butter, oak and vanilla.
- Notable: Australia Chardonnay has hints of citrus, melon and peach.
With these two varied Chardonnay wines, you'll have the perfect opportunity to savor your samples and enjoy a second glass of your favorite. With a 'what you see is what you sip' mentality, you really can't go wrong with a wine that shows its true colors (and flavor) right on the label. Outdoor entertaining season is upon us, and that is the perfect time and place for a fun and flavorful wine tasting. Gather up a few friends, grab a few bottles of Notable Chardonnay, weave your fingers around a few stems of your favorite wine glasses and head outdoors to enjoy wine, laughs and lingering under the warm air of the season.
