Key Ingredients & Substitutions
Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 oz can) – This is what makes the no-churn magic happen. It adds sweetness and that creamy, scoopable texture without needing an ice cream maker. Stick with the classic—no swaps here.
Cold Heavy Cream (2 cups) – You’ll whip this into soft peaks to give the ice cream its body and lightness. Make sure it’s cold straight from the fridge; it whips faster and holds better.
Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon, optional) – Totally optional, but it rounds out the chocolate flavor nicely.
Chocolate Syrup (1 cup) – Adds rich chocolate flavor and a soft, fudgy texture. Use your favorite bottled brand. Whatever you like drizzled over a sundae works here, too.
Chocolate! I used two King Size Chocolate Bars with Almonds, which I chopped up. The almonds add a salty-sweet bite that takes this to the next level. You could use plain chocolate if you’re anti-nut, but the texture won’t be quite the same. You can also substitute your own favorite candy here for a new twist.

Step #4: Pour sweetened condensed milk mixture back into the bowl with the heavy whipping cream and fold together until smooth and creamy.
