toast decorating ideas
Whether you're making a bear, a mouse, a fish, a cat or a dog - or something else entirely, you can start with very simple ingredients. In fact, you probably already have many of them in your kitchen.
Start off with the toast itself. Any type of bread you like is perfectly fine - plain white bread, whole grain bread, and sourdough are all good choices.
Next youll need some type of base for the "animal face" on your toast. Peanut butter is a classic choice. But you can also use cream cheese, Nutella chocolate-hazelnut spread, almond butter, or any type of nut butter.
Then, you need some ingredients to decorate the "faces". Slice up bananas, apples and strawberries. Toss on some fresh blueberries, which always make fun eyes. Whiskers can be made with pretzels or thin apple slices or sesame sticks. And you have an animal toast creation fit for a king. Well... um...kid.
Whether you want to make panda toast, puppy toast or monkey toast, just get creative. Play with your food!
