    Tools For Success

    Strawberry Tool

You can purchase a tool for removing the stems and hulling the strawberries with ease. This is a great item if you love strawberries.

    Sharp Knife

Keep your sharp knife on hand for slicing up the Rice Krispie treats or brownies if you need them to fit.

    Tips for Success

    Evenly Sized

Aim for even sizes of fruit and treats that way they all look to be proportion. Similar sized desserts are key.

    Fresh Berries

Reach for bright colored strawberries that are ripe. If you see any white or green trim as needed to make sure you get sweet berries instead of sour.

    Variations to Recipe

    Homemade Desserts

Instead of buying store bought desserts make homemade donut holes, marshmallow treats and bite size brownies. You are welcome to make or use what you want.

    Fruit

Consider using other fruits to place on the kabobs. From blueberries, blackberries, and even raspberries would be delicious.

    Desserts on Kabob

Pick and choose what you want on the kabobs. Maybe you want cookie bites, or whole marshmallows instead of rice krispies. Feel free to change up the items you place on the kabobs.

    Skip Chocolate

If you are not a huge fan of chocolate consider skipping melting and drizzling with chocolate. Just leave the chocolate out of the recipe.

    Common Questions about Kabobs

    dessert skewers

    What are dessert kabobs?

Dessert kabobs are a type of dessert made by skewering various bite-sized pieces of sweet ingredients, such as fruit, cake, brownies, or marshmallows, onto a wooden or metal skewer.

Can I make these in advance?

You can make these dessert skewers up to 24 hours in advance. Just place each skewer on a tray and cover tightly and store in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy. Then right before serving drizzle with chocolate and serve.

Do I need wooden or metal skewers?

Either metal or wood will work for this dessert on a stick recipe. Both work great so it is a personal preference on what you would like.
