This Orange Creamsicle Ice Cream is everything you love about that iconic popsicle - zesty citrus, velvety vanilla, and plenty of sticky sweetness. And it's easy to whip up at home. No ice cream machine required!

There’s a reason orange and vanilla just work together—it’s like citrus and cream decided to be best friends. That bright, tangy pop of orange paired with smooth, dreamy vanilla? Total flavor harmony.
And the best part? This no-churn Creamsicle-style ice cream is stupid easy to make. We’re talking five ingredients, no ice cream machine. Just scoopable sunshine.
3 Reasons Why You'll This Recipe!
#1: It is truly quick and easy. Spend just 5 - 10 minutes mixing the ingredients together, pour into your container, then pop it in the freezer for 5-6 hours to harden. After that, it's ready to serve. No special equipment needed!
#2: It's inexpensive. The average price for a half gallon of ice cream is $4.76 dollars, and many specialty brands cost more than that for just a single pint. But this no-churn ice cream recipe yields 8 servings, and you can easily purchase all the ingredients for far less than buying a ready-made equivalent.
#3: You can customize it! Once you make the base, you're free to add any type of mix-ins and flavorings you like. Candy, cookies, fresh fruits, coffee, pie fillings, even your favorite breakfast cereal...there truly is no limit. Some of our most beloved flavor combinations include Blueberry Lemon, Black Cherry and White Chocolate, Salted Caramel Pecan, Double Chocolate Chunk.
Key Ingredients & Substitutions
Heavy Whipping Cream – Whipped to soft peaks, it gives the ice cream that dreamy, scoopable texture. No substitutes here. This is the backbone of your no‑churn magic.
Sweetened Condensed Milk – Adds sweetness and a super-creamy consistency that holds without churning. You could try condensed coconut milk for a dairy-free version, but flavor and texture will differ slightly.
Vanilla Extract – Just a touch adds warmth and depth. Pure vanilla is best, but imitation works. Just scale up for more vanilla flavor.
Orange Extract – This is the star of the show. A couple drops give that punchy, zesty flavor. Don’t overdo it. You want bright, not bitter. I used this brand.
Orange Gel Food Coloring – Purely for looks, if you want that classic creamsicle-orange swirl. Gel food colorings work best.
How To Make Orange Creamsicle No-Churn Ice Cream Step By Step
Step #1: With a stand mixer, beat heavy whipping cream until thick. You can also use a hand mixer if you prefer.

Step #2: Pour in sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and orange oil and fold in until smooth.

Step #3: Divide ice cream into three bowls. Then add orange gel food coloring to two bowls, creating 2 different shades of orange. You want one nice dark orange and the other a more pale color.

Step #4: Next, spoon ice cream into a freezer safe container, alternating colors to create a multi-colored ice cream.

Step #5: Freeze for 5-6 hours or overnight. When it is time to serve, remove from the freezer and then let it sit on the counter to soften for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
